AFROJACK is one of the most prominent figures in the EDM scene. The Dutch DJ/producer started his music career in the mid-2000’s, dropping energetic, upbeat sounds that inspired a variety of genres including progressive house, tech house, big room and electro house. His unique style of producing combines powerful bass lines, intricate synths and fast-paced-beats. His fabrication of an electrifying atmosphere on the dance floor is getting Austinites excited as he’s heading to Austin’s new flashy nightclub, Superstition, this weekend to throw down.

Formerly a male strip-club called La Bare, the 12,000 square foot venue is now labeled Superstition, and it is one of Austin’s largest dance clubs. After the lot was vacant for about 15 years, Superstition surprised locals with it’s elite entrance, large dance floor, and classy “gold room”. Located in central Austin on East Riverside & SoCo, the venue opened in late December with Chromeo. Since the grand opening, Superstition hosted notable artists including Dillon Francis, Justice, Loud Luxury, and this Saturday, AFROJACK will bring the heat.

AFROJACK released his first track “In Your Face” in 2007. The song was a hit and quickly caught the attention of the music industry. He then went on to produce a number of other successful tracks, including “Take Over Control” and “No Beef,” which helped him establish his name as a talented producer. Soon after, AFROJACK signed a deal with one of the largest record labels in the world, Island Def Jam, which marked a significant milestone in his career.

The Grammy Award-winning DJ/producer has collaborated with other legendary artists including David Guetta, Steve Aoki, and Martin Garrix, to produce some of the most innovative and memorable tracks in the EDM scene. He has also performed at some of the biggest music festivals in the world, including Tomorrowland, Electric Daisy Carnival, and Ultra Music Festival, and has consistently received positive reviews from fans and critics alike. To top it off, AFROJACK was named one of the “50 Most Important People in EDM” by Rolling Stone, placed on Forbes’ “30 Under 30” music list, became the second DJ to cement his hands into the Hollywood Walk of Fame, and performed during the interval act of the grand finale in Eurovision’s 2021 song contest.

AFROJACK is a true icon in the world of electronic dance music with over 3 million followers and 8 million monthly streams on Spotify. His talent, innovation and hard work have made him one of the most successful DJs and producers of all time. Purchase tickets and party on the dance floor or book a table with bottle service to enjoy his high-tempo/pop set this Friday, February 17th.
