Boston-based producer, songwriter, and musician Jack Willard releases his debut album Echoes today via Colorize. The 11-track album brings together personal songwriting, organic instrumentation, and electronic production, alongside collaborations with MØØNE, Little Foot, Ava Sofia, Matthew Adam Green, JOSEFINA,and Guy Didden.
The project follows a yearlong rollout featuring singles including “Light Shines,” “Move With Soul,” “Give Up The Ghost,” “Waiting,” and “Searching For You.” It closes with “Call To Me,” a cinematic collaboration with MØØNE that reunites the pair following their work on “Everything All At Once.”
Regarding the process behind the album, Jack shares:
I wrote ‘Echoes’ during a period of change and growth in my life. Writing, producing, mixing, and releasing an album while working a corporate job and starting a family was a lot to take on. I’m extremely proud of the result and grateful to everyone who contributed to the project. I learned a ton through the process..”
Through Echoes, Jack expands on his melodic foundation through piano-led songwriting, intricate production, vocal-driven atmospheres, and more club-focused moments. The album began from 20 piano ideas Jack created while finishing his Patterns EP, leading to the full productions you here today. This dynamic and deeply personal project brings together distinct styles of Jack’s evolving sound. With Echoes, Jack Willard takes another step forward as an artist, balancing melodic sensibilities with a broader sonic palette and a more expansive creative vision for the future.
