Melodic electronic duo PRAANA are set to release their second studio album, Insight Out, on July 29 via Colorize. The follow-up to their debut Supernal Dawn finds Chad Cisneros and David Reed digging deeper into the introspective territory that has defined the project since its inception.
Across sixteen carefully sequenced tracks, the pair explore presence, vulnerability, surrender, transformation, and human connection. It’s a continuation of the ethos that has always sat at the center of PRAANA — sound as a vehicle for healing and self-discovery, where dancefloor energy and emotional storytelling refuse to live in separate rooms.
“Insight Out is about what happens when we stop looking externally for answers and begin paying attention to what’s already within us,” the duo said of the record, describing it as the product of a season of reflection, growth, and gratitude.
The album opens with the ambient textures of “The Unfurling” before settling into the organic pulse of “Fernwake” and the meditative “Isness Of Isness (Reflection).” From there, a deep bench of collaborators colors the record’s emotional landscape: ready ready wait lends haunting vulnerability to “Falling Off,” RKTKT and lydi lynn anchor “We Both Know It,” and longtime PRAANA collaborator Courtney Storm appears twice, on “Dive” and “Synergy.” Tina Parol, Freddie Elmberg, and Susie Ledge round out the guest list.
PRAANA’s reach has grown steadily, with Supernal Dawn pulling tens of millions of streams and support arriving from tastemakers like Above & Beyond, Lane 8, Black Coffee, and Sultan + Shepard. Paired with a run of sold-out North American headline shows, the duo have quietly become one of melodic electronic music’s most emotionally compelling acts.
