REZZ
REZZ has introduced her own dark, hypnotic mid-tempo brand to the EDM scene. Her unique style and dedication to her craft have earned her a place as one of the most exciting and innovative artists in EDM today, and her haunting melodies, heavy bass lines, and eerie soundscapes continue to intrigue her devoted fan base. Her sets can be both intense and tranquil… it’ll be one you won’t want to miss! REZZ’s unique sound will stand out from the other performers at Hangout. She may even drop some unreleased tracks from her record label, Hypnovizion.
Dr. Fresch
Dr. Fresch has shared the stage with some of the biggest names in the industry at some of the most well-known festivals in the world including Coachella, EDC Las Vegas, and Lollapalooza. He’s been touring all spring at smaller shows and will be making his way to the Hangout fest in May. In college, Dr. Fresch began producing music and DJing, and his talent quickly caught the attention of industry professionals. He has made a name for himself through his unique blend of bass-heavy house music and hip-hop & funk inspired beats featuring chopped vocals. His music is known for its high energy and infectious hooks. Dr. Fresch was diagnosed with gout (arthritis), high cholesterol and other hereditary conditions, which caused him constant pain on and off stage, but he’s gotten his health under control and stated, “I feel like myself again,” declaring his inspiration is back .
Skrillex
Sonny, aka Skrillex, has made an epic comeback this year, releasing two albums within two days last month. It’s no surprise that Skrillex will be headlining Hangout Music Festival as he’s established himself as one of the most recognizable figures in EDM. The emo kid has transitioned from classic dubstep, characterized by heavy bass and distorted synths, to progressive house featuring pop and hip-hop collabs. The legend continues to arouse fans this year with impressive acts such as his basement set on Youtube and his pop up performance at Time Square. Skrillex will be an artist you have to catch at the Hangout and a show you’ll remember forever.
Flume
Another headliner that will draw the crowd, both EDM heads and music lovers alike, to the stage will be Flume. To celebrate his 10 year career, Flume dropped his LP, Things Don’t Always Go the Way You Planned, highlighting unreleased, experimental tracks he discovered from his old laptop & hard drives. Flume’s music has been praised for its innovative approach to production and sound design, which often involves layering and manipulating samples to create unique textures and rhythms. He is known for his use of synths, chopped-up vocals, and organic percussion, which give his music a distinctive and dynamic quality.
Calvin Harris
Hangout fest invites festival lovers to soak up the sun, play in the ocean, and lounge on the beach, so what better artist to listen to than Calvin Harris?! His fifth studio album, Funk Wav Bounces Vol. 1, was a critical and commercial success, earning praise for its genre-blending sound and star-studded collaborations. This album, along with many other of his modern dance hits, have a late spring/summer vibe and are perfect for the beach. He’s collabed with global artists including Ellie Goulding, Sam Smith, Rihanna, Dua Lipa, the Weeknd, Frank Ocean and many more. He has won five Billboard Music Awards, two Brit Awards, and one Grammy Award, among many other accolades. His contributions to the EDM scene have helped to shape the genre and inspire a new generation of artists. Expect some of the best, feel-good throwbacks at his set!
