Unison festival is coming in hot this weekend with a activity packed 4 day festival on the border of Colorado and New Mexico at the Tico Time Resort. Located on the Animas River it combines desert, mountains and beach vibes all into one; creating a place bound to be full of magic. Tico Time offers a myriad of activities to do while on the resort including: a waterslide, zipline, 60 foot climbing wall, three swimming ponds, a river, camping and more.

Events:

This weekend while at Unison Festival you will have no problem finding activities to fill your time. Some of the festival offerings include: healing arts vendors, wholesome and delicious healthy food options, performance art, yoga classes of all kinds, women’s wisdom workshops, ecstatic dance, safe space for young minds, a tea lounge, all natural communal sanctuary, a moon lodge, a brave space of embodied brotherhood with daily councils and curated experiences, and open mic every night. This weekend is packed to the brim with spiritual resources that will have your heart full and spirit light.

Ancestral Village:

Not only that but, Unison has built a ancestral village to allow a space for grounding and communion. The accentral village will have indigenous teachings, a sweet lodge and drum circles.

Common Ground is the natural evolution of the Unison community. This sacred activation within the grounds of the festival is a place of connection and safety.  We strive to create a safe environment for all people that may just need to chill and remember. Common Ground is a visionary process of fortifying our collective relationship in an intentional container that fosters a deep reflective opportunity and invitation. THIS IS A SUBSTANCE ABUSE FREE ZONE.  Our invitation is to you and all, to sit by the fire, listen, speak, sing, drum and share.  We are calling all into alignment with a cultural premise that the people of the earth have a choice and a united voice to define a place of agreement and optimize our relationships with one another and all beings including our host planet herself. The Common Ground Village is a place of ceremonial effort to restore and remember our innate power and collective ability to transform ourselves, our families, our community and the planet. The four winds have called a group of architects, guardians and stewards to council together on the common ground of love and gratitude. ”

Music:

With the festival set to host 4 stages this weekend is set to be filled with wonderful music. Heavy bass all the way to yoga sound healing baths will be in abundance this weekend.

Some of the headliners we are most excited about include:

Desert Dwellers: This duo is an absolute treat to see live. Last time I saw them open for at the Mishawaka Amphitheater they absolutely crushed it.  A mix of deep bass and ethereal trance goodness engulfs you like a blanket of sunshine. Get ready to dance and vibe high!

Yaima: meaning “that which water runs through”  is absolutely how this duo makes me feel. This folktronica duo has had my eye for a long time and I absolutely can not wait to see these two. Pepper Proud’s beautiful voice and lyrics hit deep. This duo is driven by organic and melodic sounds inspired by nature. It’s hard not to feel connected to your heart while listening to these two.

Bloomarion: This upcoming DJ brings style and vibes that are top notch. After seeing him open for Dirtwire in Telluride, Colorado I can say his taste of music is incredible. His most recent mix “Vibes Bass Night” Brings a ethereal uplifting vibe combined with deepest darkest bass. His sets incorporate live instruments that bring a whole new aspect to DJ sets.  Catch me at his Bagha Booti Yoga class and right after His Micro Music Residency in Durango Colorado.

Anyone interested in learning about sound design, music production, DJing this Micro- Music Residency directly after the festival is a must. Here you will learn from professional musicians, Phutureprimitive, Skysia, Lily Fangz, Akriza, Kiyoshi, Heather Christie, and more. There will be classes on producing electronic music, DJing, loop pedals, integrating looping live instruments and vocals with electronic music, vocal production and songwriting.

It’s a 4 day immersion, starting on Monday September 12th at 1pm, and ending at 5:30pm on Thursday September 15th, taking place at the Legion Hall (where Durango Ecstatic Dance happens). Click here to get to learn more and get your tickets to this absolutely unbelievable opportunity.

Orenda: This upcoming ethereal bass musician out of Denver, Colorado is absolutely crushing it. With his new single “Eclipse” you hear a mixture of tribal beats and hard organic left field bass. After seeing Ordenda open up for Clozee last year at Voyage festival I will say this set is absolutely must see.

Savej: An inspiring soul who inspires his listeners to connect to themselves and the cosmos through  ancient rhythms mixed with hip-hop trap trap. Savej is an upcoming artist that I find inspiring and uplifting. If you have a chance to see him this weekend don’t miss these dirty tribal beats.

For anyone wanting to attend the festival and wants a discount use the code: BLOOM for 11% off Unison. I will be attending the festival so stay tune for onsite media and meetups! Feelings of gratitude are abundant as the full moon approaches and I get to dance with fellow humans under the stars. See ya there!
