Swedish electronic music phenomenon, Eric Prydz, has unveiled plans for the much-awaited return of his pioneering audiovisual experience, HOLO, to New York City. This marks the first HOLO performance in NYC since its North American launch in 2019. Scheduled for three nights in November – 22nd, 24th, and 25th – the venue remains a tantalizing secret, somewhere in Brooklyn. This collaboration with underground sensation Teksupport promises to deliver nights of groundbreaking electronic fusion.
The HOLO concept has garnered admiration for combining state-of-the-art technology with Prydz’s instinctive live DJ sets and original productions. This blend has positioned it as a tour de force within the music industry, blurring the lines between visual wonder and sonic brilliance. Music enthusiasts can anticipate an entirely distinct and unparalleled musical journey for each of the November shows.
Originating from Prydz’s inventive use of holograms in his EPIC concert series, HOLO has rapidly altered the electronic music panorama over the past year. Its soaring popularity has been evidenced by headline acts at global music festivals such as Coachella, Sonar, and Tomorrowland, and its standout residency in Ibiza. What makes the upcoming NYC HOLO performances so unique is their break from the festival environment – these are Prydz’s inaugural standalone post-pandemic performances in the U.S.
Prydz’s remarkable journey in the world of electronic music is further illuminated by his recent resurgence as his progressive house alter ego, Pryda. After nearly four years, the Grammy-nominated and Platinum-certified artist released two singles, ‘Of Me’ and ‘The Return’. The latter secured accolades as an “Essential New Tune” by the renowned Pete Tong.
Partnering with Prydz for this venture is Teksupport, a dominant figure in NYC’s nightlife under the leadership of Rob Toma. For a decade, Teksupport has carved its niche through innovative productions, impeccable music selection, and exploration of unprecedented venues. The group’s ventures transcend ordinary nightlife experiences, merging club culture, high fashion, and tech. Their national reputation was solidified with events in collaboration with international powerhouses like CircoLoco, Time Warp, and Mayan Warrior.
With such a partnership, attendees can expect a mesmerizing combination of audio and visual creativity. As anticipation builds, fans and newbies alike should prepare for an immersive journey through sound and sight this November in Brooklyn.
