5 Artists that’ll ruffle your feathers at Lights All Night

A wise man once said, “The freaks come out at night,” so to all of our freaks heading to Lights All
Night in Dallas this New Year, here’s our top 5 artists you should see to start your year off right!
FYI – this is NOT just a list of the biggest names on the lineup. Headliners are headliners. If you
haven’t seen their show, it’s usually worth checking out. They typically have big teams and big
budgets for production designed to give you the best fan experience. With that being said, if you
haven’t seen Skrillex, Subtronics, or Chris Lake yet, we’ll just say, they are who they are for a
reason. Go check them out.
Now, for our personal recs…

5. Westend

In the era of content, Westend is an artist we’ve been keeping up with since his TikToks of traveling
as a professional DJ first hit our FYP. As fans, we’re all so curious what life is like for our favorite
artists. By giving us a BTS peek into his journey, it seems like he’s gaining a larger audience
everyday and is only getting hotter. We think artists that are taking this approach are going to reach
fans much faster and deeper than just their music alone otherwise would. But that being said… his
music alone makes us want to mass text our homies to come pregame. Throw on Get This Party
Started and watch people crawl into your living room through the windows before the second drop
even hits.

4. Sullivan King

IYKYNTK – You know those artists that you know that you just need to know?? Well Sullivan King is
one of those for us. Hence IYKYNTK. This probably sounds crazy if you’ve already seen him shred
on stage, but unfortunately we haven’t … yet. From the outside looking in, electronic music can get a
bad rep.’ “What do DJs actually do?”, “All DJs do is press play and jump around.” Blah blah blah.
Regardless of your opinion on DJs, there’s no debate that Sullivan King is an elite musician and
performer (at least from the Videos we’ve seen). He sings, he shreds the guitar, and he produces
bass music that registers on a seismograph. We’re stoked to see him for the first time at Lights All
Night and if any of that sounds interesting to you, you should too!

3. Sultan + Shepard

If you’re someone that has “explore more” as one of your new year’s resolutions, let us put you on.
There may not be a better option on this lineup to get you in the headspace you’ll need to venture
into the unknown of yourself, your future, the world, or whatever it is you’re looking to explore in
2024. If you aren’t familiar with Sultan + Shepard, trust us when we tell you, these legends are the
main character moment connoisseurs who’s long melodic buildups feel designed to make you
analyze and appreciate whatever journey you’re on. Personally, songs like Under the Surface,

Assassin, and Kochi make us feel like we just submitted a remote mountain just in time to watch the
sun rise off in the distance. So if you’re looking for a melodic climb into the new year, these two are a
must see.

2. Level Up

Level up was a key part to one of the most exciting shows we’ve ever been to. It was a sweaty,
Miami mega-warehouse kinda night back in 2022. Level Up absolutely threw down while opening for
Zeds Dead b2b Subtronics at the Deadbeats Ultra after party. TBH, it could’ve been a headline set in
itself. She played with Sippy, who also killed, but every time Level Up mixed in, it felt like she was
extracting the nostalgia from one of our favorite teenage pop songs like Dumbledore extracting his
memories, throwing it in a blender, mixing it with the most disgusting drops you’ve ever heard, then
serving it back on an endless buffet of broken necks. She rips and we’re stoked to see her again!

1. KREAM

To be honest, we’re tempted to leave our description as just their name. Because… well… ya
know… their sound is just THAT good and their set at Seismic Dance Event in Austin confirmed it for
us.. In all seriousness, these Norwegian brothers land somewhere between house and techno.
Definitely shades in the club approved. Aside from what you want to call them, Kream’s Liquid Lab
live series on YouTube has become recognizable in the industry. They take place at beautiful and
dramatic locations with a ton of camera angles and drone shots. To be honest, they’re just as fun to
watch as they are to listen to. For us, their music transports us on a solo drive speeding down an
empty freeway around the outskirts of a big city at 2 a.m. Just you, the left lane, your thoughts, and a
whole lot of KREAM.

Well there you have it. Some real recommendations from real fans that have been to more shows
than we would ever admit to our bosses. If you feel like grooving into the new year or like you’re
ready to release some primal energy on the rail, there’s something for you at Lights All Night. Most
importantly, who would you vouch for on the LAN lineup?? Who’s that can’t-miss artist people should
know about? Let us know in the comments.
