Insomniac finally returns to The Collesium and to top it off they are going bigger than ever booking the stadium next door and the surrounding area for 5 epic stages at HARD Summer. Wear your most comfortable dance shoes, put on sunscreen, bring a hydration bag, and get ready to celebrate one of the best events of summer 2023. The Stage Hoppers team will be on-site covering this event and we’ve put together a list of artists you can’t miss! Check out our list below and let us know who you’re most excited about.
1. Bicep
Sitting at the top of my list is the London based duo Bicep. After the release of their highly anticipated album Isles which debut at #2 in the charts, the duo took off on a world tour with a memirising live show which I unfortunately did not get a chance to see. They will be taking over the Purple Stage inside BMO Stadium on Sunday and you can bet on me being there! The duo first met at age of 8 and have become one of the world’s most avidly respected curators and producers of electronic music. Check our their biggest hit “Glue” for a taste of how this set will go down.
2. Netsky
I personally believe Drum & Bass will have a turn at being one of dance music’s most popular genres. Artists like Netsky are leading the way to this goal by introducing the American market to the sounds the European market has supported for years. My love for Drum & Bass continues to grow and Netsky’s smoothly rolling tracks in the liquid funk style is a great entryway for those new to the genre. Check out Netsky’s set below for a look into the emotional and energetic roller coaster experience a great Drum & Bass can provide. Stage for his set is not announced yet but he’ll be playing Saturday.
3. Two Feet
Not exactly dance music but had to sneak this one in here. HARD Summer is a mix genre festival so be sure to catch some acts you normally wouldn’t see. Most are familiar with his multiple hit songs that were all over the radio and social media. Check out his to experience a phenomenal vocalist live!
4. Yellow Claw b2b Flosstradamus
Flosstradamus has had a deep history with Hard Summer both as a solo act and a duo, first playing at the festival back in 2013. Over the years his name has been routinely part of the lineup as both Flosstradamus and HARD Summer went through massive changes. Flosstradamus has the most amount of experience with the HARD Summer attendees and knows how to deliver. A b2b with Yellow Claw who have a similar very dedicated fan base, this set is sure to be one of the most energetic of the weekend!
5. Skrillex b2b Four Tet
These two are on top of their game right now. With a set at Coachella that has gone down as one of the most impactful sets in the genre, this set should be in your lineup. Little needs to be said about Skrillex’s impact on the industry, each project he’s been a part of whether it be JACK Ü or Dog Blood to name a few, has changed the sounds of the game. Now pair Skrillex with the mad genius that is Four Tet who released a 35-minute and 25-seconds track as his first single called “Thirtysixtwentyfive” we have on our hands an epic set.
Hope you enjoyed our list and we look forward to seeing you on the dance floor! Check our HARD Summer pre & after parties.
