HARD Events has finally released the long-awaited lineup for the return of HARD Summer Music Festival to Los Angeles. After a ten-year hiatus, the festival will take place in Downtown LA from August 5th-6th, celebrating its milestone fifteenth edition with an exciting new venue combination that spans across the historic Los Angeles Memorial Coliseum, Exposition Park, and BMO Stadium.
The festival’s multi-genre ethos and dedication to showcasing emerging scenes will be evident in the 2023 lineup, which promises to be one of the most thrilling in the country. The lineup features leading hip-hop headliners, scene risers, and beacons of the global underground. Expect to see a mix of veteran performers and fresh faces, making it a must-attend event.
HARD Summer has a family of artists that developed around the brand in its early days and who have gone on to dominate the worldwide dance music conversation. To celebrate its fifteen-year anniversary, the festival has invited these titans back to the stage with a curational twist true to its creative essence. Skrillex and Four Tet will join forces for a special b2b set, while Kaskade and John Summit will tag team for a multi-generational performance. Diplo will continue his exploration of more esoteric strains of house set forth by his Higher Ground imprint alongside the ABRACADABRA icon BLOND:ISH.
Tickets On Sale Friday, March 10th at 10am PT
The festival welcomes back HARD alumni, including Boys Noize, Dillon Francis, and Gorgon City, who have always been fan favorites. Hip-hop and rap will also take center stage, featuring performances by Ludacris, Fat Joe, Kid Cudi, and 21 Savage, who made a triumphant debut at the festival in 2022. Oliver Tree and Two Feet will also grace the stage with their eccentric pop and melodic sounds.
Los Angeles’ underground house and techno scene will fly its flag at HARD Summer’s Pink Stage in 2023, joined by some of the most celebrated acts in the industry. Black Coffee, The Martinez Brothers, and Bicep are just a few of the talented performers who will grace the stage. Rising acts like AMÉMÉ, Ben Sterling, Lauren Lane b2b Ms. Mada, ChaseWest, Azzecca, Noizu, and Nala will also perform.
HARD Summer has also selected some of Los Angeles’ best to contribute to its multi-genre sounds. Emo Nite will continue their reign as revivalists of the post-punk era, while the city’s famed warehouse scene will be put on display with sets from Club Tularosa and fun2bjane.
The festival will provide a comfortable experience for attendees, with this never-before-used venue complex providing the perfect canvas to expand this mission. Fans can hop on the LA Metro for an easy journey to and from the event, or taste some of the city’s most celebrated food vendors at the foot of the Coliseum Torch. HARD Summer will also host a series of official afterparties at premiere venues around Los Angeles, offering a true city-side takeover. More afterparty details will be announced closer to the festival.
