EDM icons Martin Garrix and DallasK unite with acclaimed singer-songwriter Sasha Alex Sloan on new single “Loop.” Released today through Astralwerks, the melody-driven hit is overflowing with emotion interwoven into an infectious club hit. I remember the drop of this track at Garrix’s Ultra Music Festival 2022 set and it was an absolute show-stopper. The impeccable production skills of both producers shine through the minimalistic low-end groove, atmospheric melodics, and seamless incorporation of Sloan’s sultry vocals.
The release of “Loop” is paired with a surreal music video detailing a woman’s typical night out on the town, or so it seems. The bustling streets of Las Vegas provide the vivid backdrop as the protagonist encounters Garrix and DallasK. The dreamy journey ensues but as the night comes to an end, she finds herself back at the start; in an endless “Loop.” At the helm of the video is director Damian Karsznia, who has worked on numerous music videos for Garrix.
Here’s what the artists have to say about “Loop”:
- Martin Garrix says, “I have been playing this song in my sets for quite some time now and the crowds’ responses have been great. I loved working with Dallas and I’m super stoked to finally release this one!”
- DallasK adds, “‘Loop’ is the long-time coming collaboration between Martin Garrix and myself. We met forever ago and I remixed his single ‘in the name of love’ in 2016. It’s a deeper song for both of us, topped with the unmistakable vocal of Sasha Alex Sloan, one of my favorite collaborators, who always brings her unique perspective to any song she writes. It has all the right ingredients to form both a summer banger and break up anthem. I hope you like it!”
- Sasha Alex Sloan says, ”I loved writing this song and I’m so glad it’s finally out!”
