Day Trip Seattle returns to Gas Works Park on Saturday, July 25, bringing Insomniac’s house festival brand back to one of the city’s most recognizable outdoor venues. Now in its fifth Seattle edition, Day Trip has become the most reliable summer dance music event in the Pacific Northwest, built around a simple formula that still works: house music, an open-air setting, and a lineup that’s always curated great.
Hosted by Insomniac Events’ Day Trip brand, the Seattle edition continues to lean into the identity that has made the series stand out across North America. It’s not trying to be a massive multi-genre festival or a chaotic EDM free-for-all. Day Trip knows exactly what lane it lives in, and that clarity is a big part of why the event keeps working. It is house music all day long, built for the kind of crowd that wants a summer day party with proper festival-level production.
This year’s lineup keeps that focus intact, bringing Cloonee, Vintage Culture, Omar+, ChaseWest, BLOND:ISH, Murphy’s Law, and Mia Maya to Gas Works Park. Cloonee and Vintage Culture give the festival two major anchors, while BLOND:ISH, Omar+ and ChaseWest help round out the day with a mix of groove-driven, global and club-forward house sounds. The festival doesn’t host the biggest lineup the PNW will see this summer, but that was never really the point of Day Trip. Their strength is how intentional the bookings are from top to bottom.
Gas Works Park also remains a major part of the appeal. With Lake Union, the Seattle skyline and the park’s industrial backdrop all sitting behind the festival, Day Trip has one of the more distinct outdoor settings in the city. It gives the event a visual identity that feels very Seattle, while still matching the sunny, open-air world Day Trip has built around its brand. This year also feels bigger because Day Trip Seattle is no longer just a one-day festival. Insomniac has built a full weekender around the main event, turning the weekend into a larger house music takeover across the city.
The weekend starts Friday, July 24, with an open-air pre-party at Victory Hall Outdoors featuring Walker & Royce and San Pacho. After the main festival on Saturday, July 25, the party continues back at Victory Hall Outdoors with Vintage Culture and Omar+ for the official afterparty. Then on Sunday, July 26, ChaseWest closes out the weekend with a farewell boat party aboard the Hiyu.
Between the pre-party, afterparty and boat party, Day Trip Seattle now feels more like a destination weekend than a standalone park event. Instead of simply dropping into the city for one day, Insomniac is building a stronger house music footprint around the weekend itself.
That expansion also connects to the broader Day Trip Block Party run happening throughout the summer at Victory Hall Outdoors. Seattle’s summer calendar includes Day Trip events with artists like Disco Dom, HUGEL, Purple Disco Machine, Riordan, Silva Bumpa and more, giving the brand a consistent presence in the city beyond July 25. For a market that already has a strong electronic music audience, this kind of recurring house programming adds another layer to Seattle’s summer event landscape.
Day Trip Seattle 2026 feels like a strong example of Insomniac understanding the value of a focused brand. The festival does not need to be everything at once. It works because the concept is clear, the venue makes sense and the surrounding weekend gives fans more reasons to build a full trip around it.
