Yesterday the world renowned musical venue Printworks announced its farewell season. For the past six years they have hosted the world’s best talent in dance music. From Charlottee De Witte and her KNTX label, to Adam Beyer and Drumcode Records, To Tale of Us Afterlife label, and many more. After half a decade of exclusive shows and performances Printworks has earned its place as one of the greatest musical venues in the world. With an already extensive track record of shows and events they are coming back hard this year with their greatest event line up to date. Printworks made their official announcement via instagram yesterday with look of what’s to come.

What Is Printworks?

Printworks is a multipurpose nightclub and events hall located in Rotherhithe, South London. This venue is located in the former Harmsworth Quays printing plant. From 1989-2012 this printing plant published some of the UK’s largest newspapers such as the Daily Mail and Evening Standard. Today it has been renovated with state of the art light, laser, and audiovisual systems that have made unlike any other venue in the world. The acoustics in this abandoned warehouse paired with its world class production has created an industrial oasis for dance music fans.

This venue hosts 2 different stages. The main stage called the Presshalls includes the largest production of the venue and considered its crown jewel. With 16 meter high ceilings and over 3300 square kilometers this space has been exceptional for live events. Over the years artists such as Matteo Milleri of Tale of Us have utilized this stage for unforgettable performances.

Additionally, Printworks includes a smaller stage called Inkwells for a more intimate setting. This stage consists of beaten concrete pillars, exposed pipework, and low ceilings that offer fans a true rave experience. Furthermore with just over 1000 square kilometers of space and limited production live techno music flourishes here. Rising artists such as Patrick Mason have defined what it means to be underground here.
