Ludo Lacoste delivers addictive groove with house track “Angela” released via Glasgow Underground.
From Montreal’s electronic unground to North American clubs and festivals, Canadian artist Ludo Lacoste has been passionately producing music and crafting his driven career for almost a decade.
In his production, Ludo achieves emotional landscapes through authenticity and sincerity. The Covid-19 pandemic prompted a shift from the dance floor to the studio, allowing Ludo to add precision to his craft and create his best music to date. Throughout 2020 Ludo released music via Toolroom, Glasgow Underground, Solotoko and Love & Other, to name a few labels. Dj Mag also included Ludo in their “Six emerging artists you need to hear this November” 2020 article.
Ludo’s most recent 2021 release, “Angela,” showcases the precision work he has developed in his production throughout the pandemic. The track’s infectious groove is centered around a simple looped refrain:” I hear you’ve been askin’ around.” However, don’t let the beautifully simplistic nature deceive you. All the musical elements in this track are utilized for peak danceability. Fall in love with the cohesive foundation provided by the sharp percussion underneath a warm, low-end bass line. The soundscape evolves through the movement applied to the minimalistic synth work and vocal iterations. Audiences will lose themselves with “Angela” on the dance floor.
Ludo Lacoste has received phenomenal support for his music reaching Overall Top 10 on Traxsource, Beatport House Top 10, and Traxsource #1 in Tech-House. He has garnered support for his music via shows such as Hardwell’s “Off The Record”, Roger Sanchez’ Release Yourself 997, Sofi Tukker’s weekly stream and The Bob Sinclar Show. His 2020 track “When You Were Down” was also featured on Mark Knight’s Best Of Toolroom 2020, Beats One Mix, Toolroom Virtual Festival, KISS FM Toolroom and on three Toolroom Radio episodes.
