Alison Wonderland releases new inspiring single, “Down The Line.” The new anthem comes just ahead of a weekend of Halloween festivities for the renowned artist. Out now via Astralwerks, “Down The Line” features Alison Wonderland’s pure and mesmerizing vocals in a melancholic guitar opening. The minimalist atmosphere then transforms into a warm embrace of layered vocals followed by a glitchy yet vibrant drop. The song provides reassurance against those moments of loneliness. The lyrics “I’m gonna be okay down the line,” appear simple but speak magnitudes.
Alison Wonderland shares with us:
“We need the dark times in order to get to the light. We need that experience to know that it’s going to be okay one day. The track is me acknowledging that I was alone during a difficult time but knew that I was going to get through it and be okay, down the line. We’re all going through a dark time right now, and sometimes we need to be reminded that it’s going to be okay. No matter what happens, we will be okay.”
“Down The Line” also comes paired with a music video detailing the misadventures of a trio of motivational speakers. The acolytes of a fictional “Down The Line” movement, helmed by Alison , attempt to inspire a lackluster crowd. Directed by Prad Sen and produced by Fiona Dunn, the video captures the essence of the single through an array of color schemes and pensive imagery.
