STAGE HOPPERS’ FRIDAY PICKS – September 3rd

Stage Hoppers’ Friday Picks brings some of today’s newest music for this first Friday of September 2021. Featuring music across the genre spectrum, let’s dive right in!

“Soul Searcher” – Wh0 x Kideko

The mysterious UK duo Wh0 and Brighton-born artist Kideko team up on the feel-good house track “Soul Searcher,” released via Toolroom Productions. This fresh new track exudes danceability with an infectious groove, thick bass line, and catchy hook: “don’t stop the music, now it’s deep inside my soul.” The listener just wants to “feel the music” and dance the night away. This great collaboration between Wh0 and Kideko showcases that these powerhouse artists are ones to keep your eye on.

“Written In The Stars” – Tungevaag x Bassjackers

The successful collaboration between Norwegian DJ/producer Tungevaag and Dutch duo Bassjackers results in “Written In The Stars,” a big room house anthem designed for that festival main stage. This track, released through Spinnin’ Records,  bridges the two worlds of Tungevaag’s melodic motifs and Bassjacker’s festival energy. “Written In The Stars” will get anyone singing and dancing along to this huge anthem.

“Borderline” – Lena Leon x Disco Fries

Platinum singer, songwriter, and producer Lena Leon collaborates with staple modern dance duo Disco Fries for this animated dance track titled “Borderline.” The playful riff introduced in the vocal chop sets the tone for this lively track, released via Spinnin’ Records. Lena Leon delivers a powerful vocal performance that soars over the filtered synth work. The bouncy bass compliments the rhythmic vocal chop that is accompanied by the mallet-like synth. “Borderline” comes as a great addition for any playlist as you dance into the weekend!

“Techno Disco” – Hilit Kolet (feat. Kay Elizabeth)

London based but Tel Aviv born DJ/producer Hilit Kolet makes her Defected Records debut with “Techno Disco,” featuring singer/songwriter Kay Elizabeth. This club-dominating, tech house track fills your whole body with it’s resonant bass and “hooky beat.” The irresistible groove will have you “play it on repeat,” just like that hook says. Hilit Kolet is set to take the world by storm and “Techno Disco” shows here diligent work in the studio.

‘Half Human’ – Matt Nash

London raiser and Amsterdam-based dj/producer Matt Nash drops his debut album “Half Human” via STMPD RCRDS. This massive album is built with 12 different tracks featuring the futuristic sound of Matt Nash venturing through various dance music styles. This album is also jam packed with wonderful collaborations from an array of artists.

“Solitude” Remixes – Seth Hills x MINU x Crime Zcene x Vluarr

Solitude” by the the gifted producer Seth Hills and Dutch/Indonesian singer, songwriter, and producer MINU was originally released in April of 2021. Delivering a blend of bass house and melodic top-line vocal, the track saw it’s success and now it’s back with its own set of remixes. The “Solitude” Remixes album features a VIP edit, Crime Zcene Remix, and Vluarr Remix, as well as extended versions of each track.
