RAVENSCOON‘s latest EP BODY offers the first taste of his larger concept album Periphery. With its release August 22nd, 2023, this EP beckons listeners into a world where music transcends mere sound and becomes a corporeal experience. The journey commences with “Boundary,” a symphony of resonating staccatos and neural-awakening synthesizers that seamlessly segues into a dynamic dubstep collaboration with Seeka. Next, “Breathe” gently ensnares the audience with its whispered cadences intertwined with resonant basslines in a sonic tapestry. The centerpiece, “GO!” featuring Killa P and Al Kapone, propels the EP into an even more electrifying realm, setting the stage for the ground-shaking collaboration “Wild” with labelmate Sully and the entrancing “Melt” featuring Ashel Seasunz.

“Periphery is my reflection on what it means to be, what it means to be alive, the experience of being separated from your human body and sent all the way to the edge of perception & back again. I’ve included some dance-floor bangers, but I’ve also spent at least half of the album exploring long, luscious, melodic bass. I wanted to create songs that make you think. BODY is the exploration of music that makes your whole physical being want to MOVE and dance – songs you can feel in your chest, that vibrate your eyeballs and make your face melt. BODY is a statement – Periphery is HERE, it assails your senses and encompasses you wholly. I started the album like I start my sets, with massive energy before winding down a psychedelic tunnel into the depths of your mind. GO! is a perfect embodiment of this, it unfurls quietly into the intro, and from there the energy doesn’t stop until the very end, massive throwback drumstep energy complimented by engaging vocals from Killa P & Al Kapone.”

Paul Conversano, aka RAVENSCOON, is an electronic music producer & DJ from San Francisco, California, who combines influences of death metal, hip-hop, and punk rock with experimental bass music.
