PEEKABOO returns to WAKAAN with massive single “Black Hole.”
Matthew Lucas, aka PEEKABOO, makes a grand return to WAKAAN with his entrancing single “Black Hole.” This latest single from the brilliant producer marks his first WAKAAN release in almost two years, following his collaboration with Calcium on “HANDS UP.”
The ominous tone of “Black Hole” is apparent from the introduction as a simple three-note motif entices the listener. PEEKABOO then unleashes the hypnotizing vortex of sound that engulfs the listener. The subtle but steady groove tempts the listener further down the abyss as PEEKABOO ramps up the intensity towards the culmination. PEEKABOO’s exceptional sound design shines through with every intricately placed element. Listeners are then left wandering with the last vocal sample echoing through space.
PEEKABOO’s Black Hole Tour has taken off for this fall and will be in a city near you! The tour began on August 6th, in Richmond Virginia, and will conclude on December 11th. The 39-date tour includes performances in Tampa, Montreal, Atlanta, Chicago, and San Francisco, among other major cities. Several of the tour performances will feature support from WAKAAN members such as G-REZ, SubDocta, Sully, TVBOO, Ravenscoon, Yheti, Buku, Champagne Drip, and more!
“Black Hole” by PEEKABOO was released on Friday, September 10th, 2021, via WAKAAN.
More about PEEKABOO

Following a succession of quality EPs, singles, and remixes, PEEKABOO rose to prominence with his unique blend of hip-hop grooves and mind-melting bass. Tracks like “Maniac” and “Babatunde” have become staple festival anthems, featured by major artists such as Skrillex, Rezz, RL Grime, and Zeds Dead.
In 2019, PEEKABOO dropped his remix of “Lights Go Down” by Zeds Dead and Jauz, and his Wrecking Ball EP, which peaked at No. 10 on the Billboard Dance/Electronic charts. PEEKABOO has performed at major festivals across the U.S., such as Nocturnal Wonderland, Electric Zoo, and Ultra. He was featured as direct support for Rezz‘ Beyond The Senses tour and was tapped by deadmau5 for a remix of “Strobe.” PEEKABOO concluded 2019 with his Impossible EP, which reached No. 4 on the Billboard Dance/Electronic charts.
2020 became a monumental year for PEEKABOO as he debuted his headline tour in early spring, hosted his own Insomniac livestream, and produced an official remix for Rezz, becoming the second producer to ever gain that opportunity. With 2021 seeing the return of live events, PEEKABOO is set for high success!
