The acclaimed French duo Faul & Wad Ad have returned with a brand new single this December titled “Cry For You,” which features Romanian singer-songwriter DHARIA, released through Ultra Music.

The title “Cry For You” should sound familiar to most dance music enthusiasts. The hit track by Swedish artist Petra Marklund, also known as September, burst onto the scene in 2007 and since then has been certified Gold in the United States for over 500,000 copies sold, and currently has over 63 million streams on Spotify.

Now, reworking a classic is no easy task, but Faul & Wad, with the assistance of DHARIA, breathe new life into it while holding true to the original. The deep house inspired rework finds the duo fusing throw back 90s house grooves with DHARIA’s emotive vocals. The original melodic motif evolves through ethereal back-ground synths to electrifying leads. Compared to the original, the hard side-chaining kick and bass is not as prominent, yet the new dynamic bass groove infects the body with dance. DHARIA’s vocals are the “cherry-on-top” with her spirited rendition of such a timeless vocal line. A true and polished rework by these talented artists taking the scene by storm.

Faul & Wad explain:

“We always dreamt about reworking this all time banger from our childhood times. We wanted to deliver a new modern take to the song, and we absolutely felt in love with the new amazing vocals from DHARIA. After these difficult times without clubs and festivals that we missed so much, we had to release a new club song to party again and “Cry For You” is the perfect song for this.”

“Cry for You” by Faul & Wad Ad, and DHARIA, was released on December 3rd, 2021, via Ultra Music.
