Feel This Way” was originally the eighth single from Claptone’s renowned third album Closer, co-produced by Stuart Price and released in November of 2021. Now, The mysterious and acclaimed DJ/producer taps Gettoblaster and Andhim to each provide a remix fo the soulful house hit, featuring Mayer Hawthorne. In addition, Claptone released his own Dub Mix of the track, with all the remixes released via Different Recordings.

Gettoblaster, marked as the “finest in ghetto house,” jacks up the energy with an underground influenced take on the remix. Blending the sophisticated sound of Claptone with Chicago and Detroit house music influences. The vibrant piano riffs from the original take a back seat to the deep bass-line, while still generating a momentous groove. Then, Andhim, the eclectic German duo, lend their take on “Feel This Way.” The club-infused pop remix accentuates Mayer Hawthorne’s lyrical vocals while providing support via bubbling melodies and a driving bass-line. The infectious groove gets a bright alteration for a club and festival ready hit.

Regarding the selection of remixers, Claptone details:

”The first time I asked Andhim for a remix was around 2015 for a track on my first album ‘Charmer’ and I’ve been asking and pushing them ever since. I love their productions and their music. I’m very happy that they said yes to remix ‘Feel this Way’. On the other end of the spectrum I share the same love for the ruff grooves of Gettoblaster and their powerful bass infused style. What they delivered for a remix blew me away, it’s a staple in my DJ sets recently. Having both remixes on the release to me is a perfect combination and it shows where I can go in my own sets when I play these out.

Mayer Hawthorne adds, ”It’s time to dance again. This track takes me back to illegal warehouse parties in Detroit and an era of unbridled excess. Here’s to feeling good all the time.”

We are super happy we could finally do a remix for our friend Claptone. It was a lot of fun working with the original track and give it a little summery andhim twist,” says Andhim, while Gettoblaster closes withWe are so excited about this project. Piano’s, bass lines, infectious vocals! This one has been doing work on our dance floors around the world the last few months!

“Feel This Way” remixes by Claptone, Mayer Hawthorne, Andhim, and Gettoblaster, were released on Friday, March 11th, 2022, via Different Recordings.
