Best Releases of the Week [06.23.23]

Fellow music lovers and Stage Hoppers, we return with this week’s edition of Best Releases of the Week! Another week is coming to a close and there have been some stellar releases. But, don’t worry, we have some of the best singles, EPS, and albums for your enjoyment. Let’s jump right in, and don’t forget to leave a comment on your favorite release from this week!

Tiësto – “Drifting”

Tiësto stuns the music world once again with his highly anticipated new single. Through “Drifting” captilazes on his success through his diverse sound as seen with his acclaimed album Drive snd chart-topping single “Lay Low.” In “Drifting,” the renowned producers craft a energizing anthem with infectious vocals and breakbeat influences. With a release like this, it remains clear that Tiësto is always striving to explore new directions while retaining his undeniable production ability. After it’s debut at Ultra Music Festival,  “Drifting” became one of the most sought-after tracks in the scene, and a staple piece in Tiësto’s live sets.

Surf Mesa – “Manzanita”

Today, Surf Mesa releases his latest single Manzanita.” The sultry new tracks oozes with ethereal summer night qualities. The dynamic groove and dreamy synths create a flowing nature that shelter the vocals in a lush harmonic environment. He wrote the track, which was released today by Astralwerks, with Elsa Søllesvik and Benji Alasu and recorded it in Los Angeles. Surf Mesa shares, ’Manzanita’ is a track I’ve kept exclusively for the dance floor for a while. The texture andatmosphere this song makes me envision a rainforest in the future. It resonates with me so much as I begin my next chapter of music!

Rezz x Raven Gray – “Embers”

Rezz releases her new goth-inspired single “Embers” featuring vocalist Raven Gray. This latest release is the third and final single from her forthcoming IT’S NOT S PHASE EP and continues her exploration through punk and emo rock. Now, “Embers” is a masterful original that embodies the rocktronic genre of Rezz. And, an emotionally-wrought original from the pair of LGBTQ+ musicians that coincides with pride month. Regarding the track, Rezz shares, “After I heard Raven’s vocal acapella, the instrumental flowed out of me very naturally and quickly. This is a different song than what people would expect from me, but it’s a song I personally love and I’m stoked for it to be a part of IT’S NOT A PHASE.”

KSHMR –  “Heartbeat”

KSHMR teams up with Berlin-based Platinum/Diamond certified FAST BOY for their new dance-pop anthem “Heartbeat.” Although not credited as a featured artists, FAST BOY delivers a heartfelt performance that blends effortlessly with single. For “Heartbeat,” KSHMR returns towards his traditional dance sound that fans fell in love with. The moody production is evocative of the catchy melodies and electro beats KSHMR is known for.

Showtek (feat. Sonny Wilson) – “Feeling”

Showtek and Sonny Wilson release an irresistible dance anthem in “Feeling.” As the latest single from Showtek’s forthcoming studio album, “Feeling”  features a captivating hook and incredibly catchy melody. With a blend of house and hardstyle, this release captures the essence of Showtek’s ever evolving sound.

Bok Nero – God Bless The Trap House EP

Bok Nero releases a stellar and unique EP in God Bless The Trap House. Through the EP, the in-demand artist puts his creativity on display with a exciting mix of bass house, trap, and hip-hop, with his own story telling lyricism. Regarding the new EP, Bok Nero shares:“I learned to feel music in my soul before I ever learned to read it. A lot of times I can’t explain my approach to a topline note, key or why the toplines works but I just feel it and know it will work God bless the hustle, God bless our grind , bless our family keep them healthy keep us aligned with personal goals and remind us to be grateful while we grind everyday.”
