“Spacetime” – Subtronics x Nevve
Subtronics releases “Spacetime” with Nevve in anticipation for his debut album Fractals. This first single, released on his own Cyclops Recordings, becomes the first look at what is to come in the new year. Subtronics leans into a more melodic atmosphere featuring Nevve’s impassioned vocals, delicate melodic motifs, and vibrant synths. However, in true Subtronics fashion, he unleashes the wubz in a heavy dubstep drop with evolving synths, monstrous bass, and pounding percussion.
Cronus/Volition – Kasablanca
Kasablanca completes their two-track project Cronus/Volition via deadmau5‘s mau5trap label. The mysterious duo burst on to the music scene with their impressive 2020 EP Human Learning. Kasablanca utilizes a mix of house and techno elements with a look towards the past for a retro sonic experience. In this two-track offering, the duo showcases their virtuosic use of analog synth instruments for an intoxicating club experience.
“No Control” – Krewella x MADGRRL
Chicago sisters Jahan and Yasmine Yousaf of Krewella collaborate with MADGRRL for their latest release “No Control.” The energizing hard-style track features aggressive synth work, pulsating bass-line, and a soaring vocal line. The rhythmically varying drops along with the processed vocal chop add a flair of variety to the already grand track. “No Control” was released through Krewella’s own label Mixed Kids Records.
“You Should Already Know” – Croatia Squad
Croatia Squad, one of Switzerland’s most respected deep and tech house producers and DJs, returns with “You Should Already Know” to close out 2021. Immediately, the hook of this bouncy bass house track finds itself in the mind of the listener. The culminating factor is a dynamic bass-line and hypnotizing groove that makes any listener want to hit the dance floor.
“ICE v3” – Kaskade x The Moth & The Flame
Kaskade unites with LA-based alternative rock band The Moth & The Flame for “ICE v3.” This dark house track continues the Friday release schedule of Kaskade’s upcoming rework album Fire + Ice V3. The rolling bass line and crisp percussion propel the track forward with ethereal yet intensifying synth-work. The vocals provided by The Moth & The Flame tie in the ominous atmosphere of “ICE v3.”
CONTROVERSIA Vol. 004 – Alok
Alok continues his compilation album series with CONTROVERSIA Vol. 004. The Brazilian producer and DJ gives a platform for the rising artists featured on Spinnin’ Records.
