With the release of the EP, Nostalgix shares her story below:
Star City is the evolution of Nostalgix. I’ve spent the last 6 years of my life finding my voice as an artist and perfecting my sound. It hasn’t been an easy road. I’ve always fought for what I’ve believed in and worked insanely hard to make it happen. With ‘Star City’ I feel like all of the efforts I’ve made, all of the countless hours I’ve spent alone on my laptop making music, or the hours I’ve put into film production and design and everything I’ve learned are coming together in one project…
‘Star City’ is a world for those who aren’t fully accepted by the real world. A world that accepts everyone for who they are and for who they aspire to be. A world where pain does not exist and hurt is turned to self empowerment…Ain’t nothing getting in the way of us living our best lives. It’s our world, we get to be who we wanna be, dress how we wanna dress, and we’re gonna live it up!
I’ve always had to push through boundaries, and break other people’s limitations on me. I’ve always fought for self expression and put myself out there to be my most authentic self no matter how terrifying it can be. Regardless of what others have said or thought about me, I have always believed in my vision and fought to make it a reality. I created ‘Star City’ to empower others to do the same.”
