Regarding the name behind the collection, Matt shares:
Yeah, so there are three tracks that I felt all fit really well together. I made them close together in time, like they came from the few same sessions. So I try to have a consistent theme with them. I like trying to name my tracks like funny, you know, just out-of-pocket, off-the-wall names where you kind of look at the track name and you’re like, what does that mean? But yeah, it was a Key & Peele sketch about the inner city school, Hogwarts, and he pulls out a bag and it’s like, Wizard Peppa, so I thought that was funny.”

So since with that transition to more of a record label, how has your role as a producer and DJ influenced how you’re running that?
Matt Egbert: “Well, I feel like it helps me train my ear to find good music to release because I’m not necessarily just trying to release music for people who are like my friends or for instance for everybody. I have to really like the tracks a lot. I mean, so yeah, I have a specific sound that I really enjoy. And so I want to push that sound. You know, I feel like over our releases, there’s kind of like a somewhat of a consistent theme through the tracks. Now they kind of all have like a similar vibe, whether it’s ones could be more deep housey, one could be more upbeat, you know, harder track, but they still kind of have like the same essence of what I’m trying to accomplish with the label, you know?”
