The live event industry is here to help. 12 of the biggest organizations in the live event industry have teamed up to represent thousands of venues across the country to help American’s get vaccinated. In a letter to the President, the industry issued a formal invitation to use venues as vaccination centers.

Organizations Involved AEG, Bandit Lites, The Broadway League, International Alliance of Theatrical Stage Employees (IATSE), International Association of Venue Managers (IAVM), Live Nation, National Association of Music Merchants (NAMM), National Independent Talent Organization (NITO), National Independent Venue Association (NIVA), Oak View Group, Save Live Events Now, and We Make Events.

What makes these venues the perfect vaccination centers? They are located in most urban, suburban, and rural communities, often near transit lines and with easy access to parking. Clean interiors with bright lights and empty standard refrigeration systems ready to store vaccines. These venues and their workforce are accustomed to handling large crowds.

With great knowledge of queuing and crowd management, live events are the best prepared, best-equipped, most experience industries in America to manage these crowds in an organized fashion. Moving crowds in and out safely is a foundation in the industry.

After nearly a year of closure and an estimated 95% of the live events industry, businesses and workers have lost nearly 100% of their revenue. It’s safe to say the industry is ready to get back to work. More vaccinations at a faster rate will mean events returning sooner.
