In need of some extra motivation for your next workout? Well, look no further! Whether it’s pushing through those last few reps, or those last few strides on your run, here are some my personal favorite dubstep songs from 2021 to add to your workout playlist!
“Desert Chaos” – NAZAAR x Layz
Released on October 27th, 2021, via Space Yacht‘s Big Bass Ting Vol 2, “Desert Chaos” is a superb track with aggressive dubstep elements introduced with elements of NAZAAR‘s Paskistani roots. NAZAAR and Layz provide an immediate hype track to get you going on your next workout.
“Griztronics II (Another Level)” – GRiZ x Subtronics
Following the grand reception received from their first collaboration, GRiZ and Subtronics dropped “Griztronics II (Another Level)” on November 19th, 2021. I don’t know about you, but when this track comes on during my workout I feel like I can break through a wall. In your face bass and wubz with a funky groove, what more can you ask for?
“Black Gold” – AIXI x STILLONIT
On December 10th, 2021, GRL GANG released the second installment of the Wreck The Halls compilation. To close out the track list, AIXI and STILLONIT provided their heaving hitting “Black Gold.” From the subtle vocals that descend into the sinister atmosphere, this is perfect track for some heavy lifting as those monstrous bass hits engulf the space.
“Revolution” – Ray Volpe x Virus Syndicate
Ray Volpe released his Rise of The Volpetron EP on August 6th, 2021. The eclectic mix of dubstep, brostep, rock, and bass house makes the whole EP a true hit for bass heads everywhere. The second track on the EP finds Volpe collaborating with Virus Syndicate for “Revolution,” featuring a gritty vocal anthem and jaw-dropping sound design from the thunderous low-frequency and electrifying synth work.
“Valley of Violence” – Zomboy
Zomboy ranges from dubstep to drum ‘n’ bass to electro house, and does so with exceptional musicality and sound design. “Valley of Violence” was released on December 17th, 2021, and with a long cinematic intro leading towards the chant “Welcome to the Valley of Violence” you know it’s time to rage. The underlying drum ‘n’ bass rhythms push the momentum underneath the heavy dubstep drops.
“Demisaur” – Excision x Kai Wachi
Excision and Kai Wachi released “Demisaur” on August 18th, 2021. The prehistoric inspired single features chilling introductory motifs, monstrous bass stomps, seismic sound design, and overall infectious energy that will overcome the listener. A perfect addition to your gym playlist.
“Takin’ Over” – SIPPY x Nardean
SIPPY and Nardean released their collaborative track “Takin’ Over” on October 20th, 2021, which is too good to pass up. Nardean delivers vocals that command attention while SIPPY provides trap-dubstep infused grooves amongst the thunderous bass line. With lyrics like “I already told ya that I’m here takin’ over” your next workout will be crushed.
“Fight Milk” – Wooli x Kompany
Wooli collaborated with fellow dubstep producer Kompany on “Fight Milk” featured on the Resurrection EP released on December 3rd, 2021. “Prepare to have your minds blown” are the lyrics that kickstart the intensity delivered through rampant dubstep drops.
“Transmutation Sequence” – SVDDEN DEATH
SVDDEN DEATH released his epic “Transmutation Sequence” on October 15th, 2021. The introduction begins with a surreal, other-worldly environment created by a haunting orchestral feature. However, all hell breaks loose with monstrous sub-bass frequencies reverberating underneath the demented synth work. The track also features two distinct sections that add to the ferocity of the music.
“Juggernaut” – RIOT
The duo known as RIOT unleashed the “Juggernaut” on August 25th, 2021. The heavy hitting dubstep track features the duo’s metal roots as aggressive guitar riffs lead towards the face-melting bass. With intensity like this, there’s no doubt the energy of the “Juggernaut” will take over.
