Electric Forest returned with another unforgettable edition, transforming the lush woodlands of Rothbury, Michigan, into a vibrant, otherworldly wonderland. The festival draws attendees from near and far for six days of camping and four days of music. Featuring a spectacular lineup of unforgettable performances across seven stages. Stunning art installations throughout the grounds ignite the imagination. We had an incredible weekend immersed in everything this magical place has to offer.
The campground opened on Tuesday, June 17, though this year got off to a rough start due to storms. Thankfully, the grounds held up. The Forest Family Team responded swiftly to any issues, ensuring that everything ran smoothly and safely. Despite the challenges, that didn’t stop he magic of the Forest from blossoming. Before the music even began, the Brainery offered a variety of engaging workshops and activities that encouraged attendees to breathe, create, learn, move, and play.

Including some surprise sets in places you didn’t expect, like Boogie T throwing down at the roller rink. That’s the magic of the forest, you never know what you’ll stumble upon! The Ranch Area had an incredible lineup of performances all day. The day kicked off with an outstanding performance from Michigan native Mike Posner, who finally fulfilled his longtime dream of performing at Electric Forest. Though he’s played stages all over the world, this one clearly meant the most, and it showed. His set was emotional, powerful, and deeply personal. A heartfelt tribute to the late Avicii brought many in the crowd to tears, while the rest of his performance had us dancing, jumping, and connecting with each other in a way only the Forest can inspire.
