Tomorrowland’s immersive experience, ‘The Great Library of Tomorrow,’ will debut in Madrid in fall 2024 following its successful launch in Barcelona in December 2023. With over 40,000 visitors from 56 countries, the VR journey has captivated audiences with Tomorrowland’s themes. The expansion to Madrid promises to redefine the magic of the festival in Spain’s capital.
‘The Great Library of Tomorrow’ is a collaboration between Tomorrowland and the XR Music Hub teams, including Layers of Reality and Blanco y Negro Music. Jordi Sellas, Artistic Director of Layers of Reality, highlights Madrid’s vibrant cultural scene and expresses excitement about launching the experience there, marking the beginning of its global tour.
Since its launch in Barcelona in December 2023, ‘The Great Library of Tomorrow’ has become one of the city’s top attractions, drawing over 40,000 visitors of all ages to immerse themselves in the magical world of Tomorrowland, conveniently located near Plaça Catalunya. Notable guests have included Spanish actors and chefs, as well as international DJs and chefs. The project has received support from Catalan institutions and the Barcelona Tourism Office due to its unique nature and global influence.
Numerous educational institutions, businesses, and organizations nationwide, specializing in audio-visual, gaming, technology, and innovation, have visited ‘The Great Library of Tomorrow’. Notable guests include Startup.Flanders, representing Flanders Investment and Trade, and The Federation of Belgian Chambers of Commerce. The project was also featured in an exclusive ISE Tech Tour during the record-breaking ISE exhibition, highlighting its innovative approach. Additionally, during the Mobile World Congress in Barcelona, the renowned VR brand HTC praised ‘The Great Library of Tomorrow’ as one of the premier experiences globally.
