Opened in the spring of 2019, The Far Out Lounge and Stage is more than just a bar and music venue; it’s a celebration of old Austin‘s rich history. This iconic spot has seen legends like Willie Nelson, who has shot movies and music videos here, and Janis Joplin, who graced its stage once upon a time. The venue was originally home to the cherished biker bar Beverly‘s in the 1980s, whose influence and charm is still evident throughout the space today.
Offering uniquely crafted cocktails, tasty cuisine, live music, and special events, The Far Out Lounge was voted Best New Venue at the Austin Music Awards in 2020. Despite its limited parking and somewhat secluded location, the venue’s underground cred, stellar security, and friendly staff made it the perfect spot for this unique bass driven event.
