Sully releases multifaceted ‘Encrypted EP’ on WAKAAN

Following the melodic lead single “Deeper” featuring han.irl, Sully releases Encrypted EP demonstrating his continued versatility. Out now on WAKAAN, the four-track EP spans a diverse collection of sound design, musical motifs, and genre metamorphosis. From the head-knocking basslines of “Encrypted” to the warping synth-work of “Impulse” with Tape B, Sully’s arsenal of creativity is in full-force. The eclectic producer also serves up an unrelenting drum & bass track “Head Knock” to close out the display of artistic range.

Sully adds: “The Encrypted EP represents unlocking a new dimension of my creativity. I didn’t want a ‘genre’ or ‘style’ to dictate what I put into this project which yielded a well-rounded product like I’ve always tried to accomplish with my music. From the sound design to the songwriting, I put endless hours into making sure this project was a step forward for me creatively.”

Encrypted by Sully was released on Tuesday, June 28, 2022, via WAKAAN.

“Sully” is the brainchild and nickname of Detroit-based producer, Christopher Sullivant. Weaving guttural sound design and intricate textures into wide melodic soundscapes, Sully has proven himself as a force to be reckoned with.

After refining his production skills from the highly acclaimed Icon Collective, Sully first stepped into the electronic music scene in March of 2019. With a series of prolific self-releases such as “Frequency Shift” and “Quake” under his belt, Sully made his WAKAAN debut in late 2019, where he continues to call home for his intoxicating sound.

Sully embraces the beautiful juxtaposition of releasing and performing different genres of music while still maintaining a distinct sound to blanket his catalog. From dubstep to trap, drum & bass, hip hop, and more, there are no limitations to Sully’s artistry.
