On August 31 and September 1, Sara Landry returns to Los Angeles with her biggest show to date in the city.
Sara Landry has emerged as one of the iconic techno DJS in the global electronic dance music scene, known for her high-energy sets and innovative approach to DJing. She became our High Priestess of Hard Techno by teaching herself how to produce music, engineer audio, and DJ while being only 25 years old. Despite being just four years into her career and lacking formal musical training apart from a sound design mentorship, Sara manages every aspect of her music independently. She takes pride in her skills with Ableton and meticulously designs every detail of her tracks, including production, sound design, arranging, mixing, mastering, and vocals when needed. This hands-on approach has led to significant achievements since her debut single in 2018; her music has appeared on several Spotify editorial playlists (Techno Bunker, Electronic Circus, Electronic Rising), and in 2019, she signed with mau5trap, releasing her first multi-track techno EP on May 17th.
As a DJ, Sara began her career in New York before relocating to Austin, Texas, where she quickly secured gigs at prominent venues such as Kingdom, Plush, Parish, and Vulcan Gas Company. She also held a Saturday residency at Ethics Music Lounge, where she not only performed but also contributed to booking, until the venue’s unexpected closure. Currently, she serves as the resident DJ for the pop-up concert experience Vibe Vessel, where she headlines and supports some of the most renowned DJs globally. Sara’s authenticity, dedication, and fervent passion for techno have earned her a significant following, and she is deeply appreciative of the opportunities that enable her to express her musical vision and share her distinctive sound with the world. Landry’s performances are accompanied with her captivating mix of powerful beats, dynamic progression, and unexpected samples, and she offers an accessible entry into a genre that has traditionally catered to a more selective audience.
