This past Friday, Grammy award-winning live electronic trio RÜFÜS DU SOL released their Inhale / Exhale Remixed. Originally released in October of 2024, Inhale / Exhale, the group’s fifth studio album, highlighted their signature sound with focus on texture, rhythm, and new emotional avenues. Now, this 15-track collection of reworks shows the revered work in a new light.
As a huge fan of RÜFÜS DU SOL and their original Inhale / Exhale album, I can see challenges posed with remixing such a immense body of work. The full collection features the trio’s list of friends, peers, and underground titans. The reimagining of the album takes the original melodies and atmospheres through a late night lens. From pulsating grooves of the under scene to more minimalistic approaches, the album features something for every lover of electronic and house music.
The new release features Turkish-Italian underground favorite Carlita, Haitian house producer Francis Mercier, adventurous Peruvian selector Sofia Kourtesis, Swiss club mainstay Andrea Oliva, German deep house artist Emanuel Satie, melodic craftsman Enamour, Afro-tech innovator Nitefreak, Belgian groove specialist Maxi Meraki, worldwide dancefloor fixture Kaz James, rising German talent Fahlberg, genre-blurring producer Moeaike, Spanish dancefloor architect Arodes, Moroccan electronic explorer Rockin Moroccin, and Turkish-American sonic sculptor Samm, alongside Swiss duo Adriatique’s previously-released ‘“In The Moment”remix.
The success of their album led to the Inhale / Exhale World Tour; now the best-selling solo electronic tour in history. Despite the majority of dates sold out, there are still a few opportunities to catch the trio live below.
