This week, RÜFÜS DU SOL announced Inhale / Exhale, their fifth studio album set for release on October 11. As the follow-up to their 2021 album Surrender, this forthcoming work will be the trio’s most ambitious work yet. Previously released singles “Lately” and “Music is Better” have already offered a glimpse into this musical love story.
Now, the Grammy-winning electronic trio release “Break My Love” amplifying the soundtracks momentum. While the atmosphere appears more melancholic, the lyrics “You can’t break my love, it’s yours to take, we got more to make” illustrate the sentiment of long-lasting love together. The instrumental texture offers a warm embrace with resounding bassline and delicate percussion. The layers of synth create this uplifting yet subtle energy the effortlessly grooves.
