After an action-packed weekend at the Hollywood Park Grounds adjacent to SoFi Stadium, we wanted to bring our Stage Hoppers family a review of our time at the festival.
What is Rolling Loud?
Rolling Loud is the world’s largest Hip-Hop festival, hosting events across North America, Europe, and Asia. Known for its legendary performances and industry-shaping moments, it’s a staple in rap culture.
Lineup:
This year’s lineup was one for the books. Playboi Carti made his first post-album debut for “MUSIC” performing a total of 35 songs in his set, A$AP Rocky hovered above the crowd in a helicopter playing a mix of old and unreleased upcoming “Don’t Be Dumb” album hits, and Peso Pluma made history with his Rolling Loud debut. Special guests like The Weeknd, Skepta, and Ty Dolla $ign kept the energy sky-high.
Additionally fans got to see artists like Soulja Boy, Sexyy Red, Ken Carson, Gelo, Ski Mask the Slump God, YG, Destroy Lonely, DDG, and more.

Safety:
We know that safety is a huge factor to consider for all Stage Hoppers. We also know that the crowds at Rolling Loud can be rowdy, pushy, and full of moshpits and rage. But for many, we live for the thrill and unique energy Rolling Loud brings.
We want to foremost commend Rolling Loud’s team for doing such an outstanding job, regularly taking breaks to have the crowd take steps backwards to create space, and even stopping for a full 10-minutes during Playboi Carti’s closing set due to reports of 10 individuals having passed out in the crowd. The festival security did an outstanding job at helping keep fans safe and getting those out of the crowd who wanted to be.

Set at Hollywood Park Grounds, the same location as HARD Summer, Rolling Loud California offers a massive playground across 3-stages for festival-goers to roam and rage.

Stage Hopping is key at Rolling Loud. With three stages and unpredictable set times, moving between performances is the best way to maximize your experience and avoid waiting too long for artists who will likely show up late.

The festival weekend consisted of many highlights:
- Gelo performed his hit smash “Tweaker” for the first time ever live.
- Peso Pluma brought out a total of 4 special guests, including Eladio Carrion, Al Alfa, Ty Dolla $ign, and Rich the Kid.
- YG brought great cinematics for his set, introducing each song seamlessly.
- A$AP Rocky opened his set suspended in the air on a helicopter, held by a crane.
- Soulja Boy had a last minute added set
- Playboi Carti performed his latest #1 album “MUSIC” for the first time, bringing out the Weeknd.
- Both A$AP Rocky and Playboi Carti brought out U.K. fan favorite rapper Skepta.
Overall:
If you know what you’re getting into, Rolling Loud is one of the best festivals out there. With next-level culture, stacked lineups, and unforgettable rap moments, it’s a must-attend for hip-hop fans.
