With 2025 just starting, we’ve already got some great releases to kick off the year! This past Wednesday, rising bass music producer dropped his highly anticipated Rug Burn EP. Out now on Wubaholics, the three-track offering gains warranted attention.
Through Rug Burn, Wiley crafts an unapologetically bass-forward sound. From the relentless bass, distortion, and stomping kicks of the titular track to the more nuanced and groovy sound design of “Reject,” Wiley deservedly showcases his talent. Lastly, “Black Opul” with fellow Indianapolis native Ujuu, feature reverberant and hypnotic low-end synths. With his first release of 2025, Wiley should definitely be on your radar for more to come!
I’m really thrilled with how this project turned out – it feels like an evolution of my sound. The process of crafting these tunes has been incredibly rewarding, and I can’t wait to dive even deeper into exploring heavier, more dynamic tracks. This is just the beginning!” – Wiley
