On December 11th, 2024, Jade Cicada shared a tease of his forthcoming EP with the bold single “Frame Shift.” Now, the acclaimed producers begins 2025 with a completely original collection, Lunar Fade.
In Lunar Fade, every track stands out on its own, offering a fresh perspective on bass music. From the wonkiness of “Froggy Style” to the groovy, mechanical rhythms of “Goober Time,” Jade Cicada entrances the listener in his sound world. A graduate of Berklee College of Music—one of the top music schools in the U.S.—his deep musical knowledge and jazz influences shine bright with complex rhythms and sophisticated harmonies. His prowess with sound design allows each track to come alive, making Lunar Fade a standout release to kick off the new year.
With new EP out now, Jade Cicada tells us:
Using a new DAW is a huge inspiration in and of itself. New tools bring new ways of thinking and working. I just try to follow where the sounds take me. The EP artwork is a reimagining of what my current studio looks like, surrounded by gear, screens, and speakers, and blasting off into space with cool sounds. My creative mindset was the same as it always has been: Does this feel new and fresh to me? Does this feel like a step forward in my production journey? If both those answers are yes, then it’s usually something I can feel proud of showing the world.”

This 2025 tour will span nine dates and include two festival appearances— a return to Electric Forest and special guest debut at Lightning In A Bottle. The tour promises an immersive experience of detailed audio design and stunning visuals that one can only experience to understand fully.
