Jackson Munn drops a massive tune, “Nothing Personal,” as his  debut release on SKINK Records, Showtek’s very own record label. The up-and-coming DJ and Producer delivers heavy bass house with clear G-House inspiration. Jackson Munn immediately grabs your attention with the subtle introduction of light percussion and bouncy synth work comprising an infectious groove. The energy then begins to shift as the bottom drops out making way for a unique vocal sample. He utilizes the building tension perfectly resulting in a hypnotizing drop of commanding synths that pierce through the texture. The crisp, chopped-up rap vocals compliment the deliberate groove with a fresh personality. I personally love the subtle fake-outs and ghost-like beats that let the atmosphere breathe.

Jackson Munn shares that “Nothing Personal” was “inspired by being out late at night, sweating from dancing your demons away” which I’m sure this new tune will lead to many more nights like that. Since its release on August 1st, the track is raking up streams on Spotify, was featured on Insomniac’s New Music Friday playlist, and also ranked #38 on the Beatport Top 100 for Bass House.” Stage Hoppers, “Nothing Personal” will hook you in and you’ll have it on repeat nonstop just like me.
