This year brought the first collaborations between Kito and Chrome Sparks as IS U IS U. Now, the electronic tastemaker duo releases a stunning debut EP titled Melter.
The four track EP begins with previously released singles “All I Need” and “Lights On.” Both tracks offered a small taste of the skillful production and infectious indie dance vibes of the duo. Now, IS U IS U reveal two brand new tracks with the debut EP. Through “Angel Girl,” Kito and Chrome Sparks capitalize on this alternative take on electronic dance music with an underground aesthetic. The titular track, as well as the EP as a whole, exemplifies the duo flawless cohesion when crafting intricate atmospheres of synths, vocal chops, and percussion. Also throughout Melter, Kito and Chrome Sparks revive samples from old studio sessions, including a capellas from Kllo and VanJess, the latter of which also served as inspiration for their namesake.

Melter was inspired by our mutual love of electronic music with juicy chord progressions. We didn’t actually set out to make an EP, or a duo!
