For the third year in a row, Palm Tree Music Festival turned Aspen into a winter paradise infused with tropical vibes. Held at the breathtaking Rio Grande Park, this two-day festival had electrifying performances from Kygo, Dom Dolla, Fisher, and Sofi Tukker. PTMF also attracted influencers including Alix Earle, Braxton Berrios, Helen Owen, Dixie D’Amelio, and Jake Shane. So what made this festival a sought-after music events of the season? Lineup & Production
The lineup delivered non-stop energy, with Kygo’s headlining set standing out as a masterclass in live electronic performance. The Norwegian superstar incorporated a drumline, an orchestra, and powerhouse vocalist Parson James, elevating his signature tropical house sound to new heights. The pyrotechnics and SFX were flawlessly synchronized, adding a mesmerizing visual element to the music.
FISHER, fresh off his EDC Mexico set, brought his infectious energy to Aspen despite an intense travel schedule with three sets within 24 hours. He kept the momentum going! Dom Dolla lit up the mountains with lasers that danced to his tech house beats and liquid DnB-surprise drops, while Sofi Tukker’s lively set, featuring dynamic dancers, had the crowd singing and dancing from start to finish.

Venue & Atmosphere
Nestled against the stunning backdrop of Aspen’s snow capped mountains, Rio Grande Park was transformed into a tropical paradise. Space heaters and a neon-colored tropical-themed lounge made the VIP section cozy. Within the lounge, TVs displayed the live set to ensure no one missed a beat. Another highlight of the VIP section were the cocktail waitresses who took drink orders (select cocktails were free of charge) as well as the food runners delivering complimentary gourmet bites like pork skewers and lobster rolls.
Festival sponsors pulled out all the stops. Celcius kept GA attendees energized with free drinks and winter-ready merch like beanies and headscarves. Meanwhile, Tequila Don Julio, Matua Wines, and Aspen Vodka ensured top-tier libations flowed all weekend long. Don Julio even created a chic “ski chalet” featuring a photo booth and Aspen-inspired activations, while Aviator Nation’s exclusive merch gave attendees the perfect festival fashion fix. Although this was probably the most expensive merch I’ve seen at a fest, it was unique and everything was so cute!

Accessibility
Despite the festival’s exclusivity, accessibility was a major highlight. Shuttle services made travel easy for those staying in nearby towns, and downtown parking (which was evidently free) made getting to the event seamless. The intimate venue size ensured fantastic viewing experiences from all areas, with easy crowd navigation and a welcoming atmosphere. Seriously — everyone was so nice and considerate of each other’s space.
And let’s talk about the weather—clear skies and crisp mountain air created the perfect setting for a winter festival. Bumble even handed out hand warmers to keep attendees comfortable and maybe, heat things up!
