Kaskade, Punctual, Poppy Baskcomb – “Heaven Knows”

Kaskade returns to Monstercat alongside duo Punctual and singer-songwriter Poppy Baskcomb with “Heaven Knows.” This new release is reminiscent of early Kaskade will exploring love, heartbreak, or the in-between of anxiety and peace, bridging past experiences with hope for the future.Kaskade shares,

This song wasn’t designed to be a time machine but somehow it does transport me back to my earlier days, so if you’ve been with me for a minute on this journey, welcome home! “Heaven Knows” is a song I hope people will enjoy listening to while they’re deep in it. In love, in heartbreak, in anxiety, in calm. It speaks to things that have been as well as things that could be. Working with Punctual and Poppy Baskcomb added so many layers to this one. I’m excited to get it out into the world.”

Adam Ten, Bontan – “Hey”

Adam Ten and Bontan unite on “Hey,” out via Insomniac Records. This new collaboration is a deep, percussive-driven tribal workout, navigating through a rich tapestry of vivacious djembe and shaker patterns, layering in buzzing synth saw waves and whirring textures beneath a retro-contemporary hip-hop hook sung in a West African dialect. With the new release, Bontan shares

I feel that ‘Hey’ is a perfect blend of us, with a tribal groove. I met Adam in Miami when we played Space the same night. After hearing him live, I felt like a fusion of our sounds would make something special. We connected afterward, and after a few months of sending ideas back and forth, we got there.”

Jey Kurmis – “Spiral”

Jey Kurmis drops “Spiral”’ is an imaginative sonic adventure that twists and turns through dizzying synth melodies and buoyant percussive rhythms. The track hypnotizes with psychoactive energy throughout its stimulating 3 minutes.

Sherm, Smith & Sorren – “Jet Life”

Chicago artist Sherm and NYC duo Smith & Sorren release their new single “Jet Life” on Low Ceiling. The track opens with the familiar sounds of a flight attendant’s voice—a playful sample instructing passengers to prepare for takeoff,  powering down their electronics and other familiar instructions. Then, pulsing basslines and hypnotic rhythms set the stage for a vintage and cutting-edge atmosphere. Sherm adds:

Absolutely over the moon about this collaboration with my boys Smith & Sorren. It’s been a long time coming and I don’t think this track could have turned out any better. This underground ROLLER plays on the insane travel schedule that musicians go through during tour. I hear the stuartist voiceover in my dreams sometimes, but it’s all worth it because we do it for the music. That’s the “Jet Life” baby. Huge shoutout to one of my all-time favorite labels “LOW CEILING” for believing in this track with us.
