Laidback Luke – “One On One” (feat. marlonbeats)

Following a seven-year hiatus from Dim Mak Records, Laidback Luke returns with “One on One.” This Big Room and Tech House hybrid, marks his first collaboration with his own son marlonbeats. Laidback Luke gives us the insight to this father-son duo:

This song is my Birthday gift to my son Marlonbeats for his 21st Birthday. He is what you would call a “Daddy’s Boy”, but because of my intense career and abundant traveling, he has missed me most of his childhood. I’ve always tried to balance being a good dad with my DJ career and it’s always been a juggling act. Interestingly, he started producing a few years ago and while figuring this out by himself, he soon realized his dad is a real producer. This song embodies our time together. Us having quality time. Doing what we love most, while reconnecting as father and son.

Purple Disco Machine – “Beat Fantasy”

Purple Disco Machine returns to Defected with a unique original, Beat Fantasy. Through this latest addition to his extensive discography, The GRAMMY award-winning artist showcases the signature PDM aesthetic. The addictive vocal sample draws the listener in as the exuberant synths build and release. The track resonates with harmony as the groove drives forward in this quirky club record.

Hamdi, Disclosure – “She’s Gone, Dance On” (Hamdi Remix)

Disclosure ring in a new chapter for their blissed-out summer hit “She’s Gone, Dance On” with a remix by UK dance phenom Hamdi. The “She’s Gone, Dance On (Hamdi Remix)” pushes the song’s breezy, open-air feel into overdrive, pulling Guy and Howard Lawrence, the original Ennio Morricone sample, and an ever-growing legion of listeners into a woozy, hyper-color wormhole of afterhours revelry.

Night Tales, Shallou – “I Just Wanted To Dance”

Night Tales and Shallou give fans an unexpected collaboration with the debut of “I Just Wanted To Dance.” Regarding the release, Shallou shares:

At the beginning of the session, we discussed how these days it feels like people just want to dance and aren’t as interested in headiness across electronic music. We stuck to this idea, writing very simple lyrics, even using a text-to-speech generator to get the cool “I just wanted to dance” spoken-word sample. This type of song is a little outside both mine and Night Tales’ wheelhouse, but we are both super influenced by old school house and agreed that this track captures that feeling. Making the track felt so natural and fun, so we realized why wait? Let’s get this one out for summer!

Night Tales continues:

We wanted to make a dance track that would unite people together without the allure of deep, lyric-heavy vocals. Our goal is for listeners to feel the intention immediately, through the sonic atmosphere and instrumentation, allowing themselves to get lost in feeling. This was an exciting and exploratory departure from the chill emotive sounds of Shallou, and for us, focusing more on the production and energy of the song with minimal vocals. The hook is simple and reinforces the sentiment of the track. This is only the beginning of our collaboration, so watch the space for future anthems from both of us.”

MEDUZA x HEVOLVE x Beanfield ft. Bajka – “Tides”

Cour T., Linkage – “Hihi”

Cour T.’s latest track “Hihi,” created with childhood friend Linkage, is a deep-tech gem designed for dark dancefloors and sweaty warehouses. With playful vocal chops, eclectic percussion, and a driving bassline, “Hihi” adds another standout entry to Cour T.’s growing Dirtybird catalog, further showcasing the talent emerging from Brazil.
