Last Friday, organic bass producer Floret Loret released a powerful project titled Endeavors, out via Zeds Dead’s Deadbeats label. This four-track EP is mesmerizing from start to finish with his exploratory sonic field. The endeavor begins with “Seeu,” a swirling blend of breakbeat drums, ethereal vocal chops, and glistening synths. Next, Floret Loret takes listeners on a new path with “Scarlets.” Here, a more ominous mood takes precedent with warping and resonating bass lines. Then, the titular track shifts into a dynamic atmosphere of arpeggiating synths amidst distorted bass stabs for a compelling and standout single. The EP concludes with “Cold Burst,” in which Floret Loret delivers a vibrant cacophony of sound that finds a harmonious end for the listener’s journey.
