For the first time on the Stage Hoppers Music blog, EMSKI and Spencer Arnold drop “I Found God.” This collaboration by the two Austin-based artists marks their first release of 2025, hopefully foreshadowing more to come from this duo. The listener is first drawn in by the ethereal vocals that fill the atmosphere, as tension slowly builds with relentless percussion, unveiling a dark and distorted bassline. Born to Scottish immigrants and hailing from Austin Texas, EMSKI is the alias of electronic music producer, DJ, drummer, and vocalist, Emma Berrigan. EMSKI separates herself from other DJs with her unique ability to infuse live digital drumming while singing and DJing an exciting blend of her productions – genres including tech house, melodic techno, and indie-electronic.
In the project’s debut year, EMSKI rose from the underground as a staple in the Texas club circuit with notable club plays and a string of well received releases. During this time, EMSKI also won The Chainsmokers Artist Residency competition and has now relocated to NYC for 2024 to complete her residency. In 2024 EMSKI has been solidifying her space in the EDM scene with notable label releases with Bitbird, Ophelia Records, and Monstercat, as well as her first festival plays at ILLFest, Freaky Deaky., and Seismic. With club and festival plays on the horizon, and many more releases in the pipeline, One thing is for sure. EMSKI is prepped for a breakout year.
