On Friday, September 20, Chris Lake and Disclosure dropped their massively waited collaboration “in2mind.” The buzzing track first gained attention with Disclosure premiered it at their B2B set with Mochakk at Cercle Festival. Then, Lkae appeared as a surprise guest to play out “in2mind” at Disclosure’s Friends & Family pop-up in LA. Now, out via Black Book Records/Astralwerks, the domineering single hits streaming platforms.
Lake and Disclosure’s “in2minds” is a hypnotic and sweltering track that blends the creative minds of these electronic music trailblazers. The track revolves around this irresistible and frenetic groove that continuously builds throughout the arrangement with the assistance of crisp vocal samples and flickering synthwork. “in2minds” has already commanded dancefloors and its infectious nature is set to further capture the hearts of audiences.
Give the full track a listen below, plus tour dates that you won’t want to miss!
With the new release, Chris Lake shares,
This was a fun and natural collaboration for me. We made ‘in2minds’ the first day we got in the studio together. Disclosure and I are both pretty technical and with this song it feels like we kind of flexed on each other a little bit. The result is the collaboration of two minds.”
Guy Lawrence of Disclosure adds,
I’ve been a fan of Chris’s work since discovering his track ‘Piano Hand,’ and only recently discovered we’ve been neighbours in LA for a few years now. When we finally connected, our first time working together led to this track ‘in2minds,’ a fast-paced, bass-heavy 808 driving track with a nice blend of each of our styles & vibes in there. This is just the first of a few bits we have cooking. I hope you all enjoy this one.”

More about Chris Lake
For Chris Lake, making people dance is more than a career: It’s an obsession. Over two decades, the GRAMMY®-nominated producer/DJ has become one of house music’s most compelling artists. In that time he’s lived many lives – underground bedroom producer, superstar DJ, and label head are but a few – but they’re all connected by his ability to create big moments both onstage and in his music. Since making his breakthrough with a string of No. 1 singles in the late 2000s, Lake has helped redefine America’s house music scene in the post-EDM age. His music is a regular fixture on Billboard’s Hot Dance/Electronic Songs chart, including recent hits “Summertime Blues,” “Beggin’,” an-d “More Baby.”
He has headlined EDC Las Vegas, closed multiple Coachella stages, and shut down Hollywood Boulevard for over 12,000 fans – and continues to spread the dance floor gospel through his Under Construction events with FISHER. In addition to DJing and producing, Lake is the founder of Black Book Records, which has helped elevate rising talent such as Cloonee, Miane, HoneyLuv, and Mochakk. Perhaps more than simply making people dance, Lake leaves dance music’s people and culture better than he found it. “It gives me this increased love of the power of a single song and the effect that it can have on anyone’s life,” he says. “I love the idea that I can make a song and give people that feeling. It’s just amazing, and I feel like as the years go on, I get better and better at doing it.”
