I am excited to be back in SoCal for NYE! There’s no place I’d rather spend it than at Countdown NYE, the vibrant atmosphere and electrifying energy of the event makes it an unparalleled destination for ringing in the new year. This year will mark my fourth time at this gathering, a testament to the unforgettable experiences it consistently delivers to me and my friends. As i count down the days, I cant help but reflect on the reasons that it draws me back year after year. In celebration of this milestone, I want to share with you 3 reasons why I am excited to be back! 

1 – Dressing comfy to a rave

If there is one thing I have learned from going to Countdown it’s to dress WARM or at least listen to your mom and bring a jacket. This festival will have one of the coldest nights you will experience at a SoCal festival, while you are in the crowd you may not feel it but be sure to bring something to warm you up as you travel between stages and the walk to your car. I am excited to dress in comfy cold weather and dance my heart out. My plan as of now is to tie-dye some old warm outfits to add color and elevate my look. I do recommend having a bandana with you or purchasing a Countdown one on site as keeping your breath warm goes a long way! A note to the gentlemen, even if you come prepared you may have to give up your hoodie to the ladies and the bandana may save the day more than you may think.

2- NYE is HECTIC

New Year’s Eve is one of if not the busiest party days of the year. A few years ago I attended a smaller event and promised myself I would never go to a ticketed event ever again for NYE. The reason being nearly every event in town is going to be extremely packed and oversold. This can ruin your night as it’s never fun to be packed in a room with people who may not always share your energy. Countdown has had many years of formulating and expanding its stages to fit massive attendee numbers. I can always count on this event to deliver on its promises and create a safe environment for attendees. So save yourself the trouble, text the ticket link to the group chat and get ready for an unforgettable weekend.

3- Star studded lineup

As festivals and events around the world compete to book great artists for the same night, Countdown delivers a solid diverse lineup yet again. Saturday, Dec 30th my list will include – Delta Heavy, Fisher, G Jones, Gryffin, Mau P, Morten, and Nero to name a few. Sunday Dec 31st we’ll be ending the year with Apashe, Black V Neck, The Chainsmokers, Elo Brown, Noizu b2b Joshwa, Oliver Heldens, and Seven Lions.
