Looking for a reason to catch him on tour? Look no further. Stage Hoppers reporter Andrea Simon outlines our top 3 reasons why you should see him on tour NOW.
1. He’s a Collaborative Mastermind
Taelor Deitcher, known professionally as Felix Cartal, has collaborated with some of the top names in the industry throughout his career. He has tracks with Kaskade, R3HAB, Daya, and Karen Harding, to name a few. While his sound is constantly evolving, he always seems to plan all of his collabs extremely carefully. From soaring vocals to atmospheric beats, each collaboration is a new adventure, keeping his music fresh and addictive.
2. He had a Humble Start
Felix Cartal wasn’t born into the EDM scene, but he did ignite it. Daft Punk’s “Homework” sparked a fire in him, and he’s poured his soul into learning music production ever since. His 2010 debut, “Popular Music,” fueled a two-year North American tour, spinning electrifying sets at dance music meccas like EDC, Ultra, and Tomorrowland. Then, a MySpace message from Steve Aoki landed him on Dim Mak, and soon, the “vocal chop” became his weapon of choice. Chopping vocals into shimmering melodies, he conquered the charts with his “Get What You Give” remix, the first of many gold records to come. From inspired rookie to hitmaker, Felix Cartal’s journey is a testament to passion, hard work, and years of experience in the industry.

3. He Knows How to Throw a Party
Felix Cartal is no stranger to pop-up parties. He loves to give impromptu performances in random places, revealing the event’s location to select fans just a few hours in advance. In early November, Felix Cartal did just that. He posted a cryptic video to Instagram saying, “If you live in Vancouver, we’re gonna try a pop-up tonight. It’s gonna be a little bit different.” He had followers text the word “TRAIN” to a phone number, and said they’d receive a text with the secret location and starting time. Hours later, revelers packed a SkyTrain car to its limit. Cartal posted a brief video the next morning, featuring attendees dancing and cheering around him as he mixed music in the dimly lit train.
Needless to say, attending a set by Felix Cartal won’t leave you disappointed. If you’re looking for a fun, energetic, and unforgettable night out, then go see him on tour now!
