Tomorrowland Recap, Illenium’s New Album, First DJ Set in Space, New Music, and much more | Ep. 25
First of all, apologies for the recording quality of this episode! We had some errors in our recordings, so we had to use the backup which led to a decrease in audio quality for our voices. However, don’t worry, we’ll have it fixed for all future episodes.
Otherwise… Welcome to Episode 25! We can’t believe that we’ve made it this far… it’s been one hell of a ride. So THANK YOU for tuning in. We hope that you’re liking the show and that you share our passion for electronic music.
This week, we talk about a new release from an Artist We’re Watching: Trip Trop. They remixed Duke Dumont’s Need U 100%. Yet again, these guys showcase their eclectic style and ability to blend genres. What a great release.
We also cover new music from Pryda, Flume, Afrojack, i_o, Illenium, NGHTMRE, and Eptic + Dillon Francis.
Delving into the world of EDM, Samir talks about his time seeing Drezo, we go over the Moonrise lineup, recap Tomorrowland, and try to wrap our heads around the fact that there will be an astronaut deejaying in space…
This week, we rate Idris Elba’s new single – On Life and Knife Party’s Lost Souls EP.
A special shoutout to the Artists We’re Watching this week: NADDA and ORB. PUT THEM ON YOUR RADAR.

Today is a VERY special day. Not only is this our 5th Artist Spotlight… it’s the official unveiling of a new feature called “Beyond the Beats Sessions”.
Beyond the Beats Sessions is a series of exclusive mixes from some of the Artists We’re Watching. That’s right… our Sessions will further expose you to the sounds of the underground while allowing you to get to know the artists of the future. When you see “Beyond the Beats Sessions”, expect to hear an absolutely fire mix from some of the world’s best up and coming DJs/producers.
We’re honored to have Coldwall kick-off the FIRST EVER Beyond the Beats Sessions. You will hear his INSANE mix – consisting only of his music – at the beginning of this Artist Spotlight. Prepare to have your jaws drop – we’re warning you in advance… Oh and by the way, you will be able to hear his mix on Soundcloud tomorrow, Friday August 2nd (you’re welcome).
After Coldwall’s Session, we return to the normal Artist Spotlight format and have an incredibly insightful conversation with him. He is one DEEP guy.
We discuss the deeper meaning behind EDM, delve into the story of him becoming a producer, celebrate the fact that his best friends have become his team, ponder both the exciting and scary EDM trends, and talk about so much more!
Enough reading… start listening. Get ready to have your mind blown by both his music and his words.
We hope you enjoy this as much as we did. Let the Corruption spread.

Make sure they’re on your radar (you’ll thank us later).
Lastly, as always, THANK YOU for tuning in. We wouldn’t be able to do this without you.
