Another music festival has announced this year’s headliners- and this time, it’s one of my favorites. Toronto’s biggest electronic festival returns this summer for their 11th season. On Friday, Veld Music Festival announced Phase 1 of their lineup, featuring Alesso, Eric Prydz (HOLO), Fisher, Kaskade, Marshmello, and Martin Garrix.

This year’s festival will take place August 2-4 at Downsview Park in Toronto. Ticket sales begin next week on Tuesday, January 24th at 10am EST. You can signup for presale on their website.
Headlining Acts
Veld is known for consistently showcasing a diverse range of electronic music genres and artists, and the 2024 lineup is no exception. A handful of the headlining acts are returning to Veld for the third or fourth time, like Alesso, Marshmello, and Martin Garrix. (I remember seeing Marshmello and Martin Garrix do a B2B and Avicii (RIP) tribute at the festival in 2018, and a Alesso x Martin Garrix legendary B2B in 2022.) Other artists, like Eric Prydz, will be making their Veld debut this summer, also marking the first time his HOLO show will play in Toronto.
My Experience
I may be bias, as Veld is basically my ‘hometown’ festival, but it was also my first electronic music festival ever. It’s an awesome festival to bring new ravers too. The vibes are always immaculate, PLUR is very much still alive here, and everyone is so friendly too! In my opinion, it also feels like a smaller festival, as it is super easy to navigate and isn’t as sprawling as other festivals like EDC Las Vegas or Tomorrowland. Cannot recommend this festival enough! (Not sponsored- I just really like Veld)
