For the past three years, Palm Tree Music Festival has been rewriting the script on winter festivals, transforming Rio Grande Park into a tropical paradise against the snow-capped Rocky Mountains. Aspen’s hottest winter tradition is less than two weeks away, and we can’t wait to blend dance music with ski culture in true Aspen fashion.
If you caught last year’s edition, you already know – this isn’t your typical mountain music gathering. Palm Tree Music Festival has rapidly evolved into one of the most unique festival experiences in North America with full weekends runs in the Hamptons, West Palm Beach, Napa, and more.
The weekend blends the outdoors with some of electronic music’s biggest names, globally. The Aspen edition is the ultimate “ski then après” experience: spend the day skiing one of Aspen’s four distinct mountains, then dance under the stars with fellow music lovers into the night. It’s no surprise the festival has sold out the past two consecutive years.
The Lineup
The 2026 lineup is nothing short of extraordinary. Kygo, the Norwegian superstar and Palm Tree Crew co-founder who helped put tropical house on the global map, returns alongside Calvin Harris, one of electronic music’s most influential artists. The roster deepens with genre-defining names including tech-house favorites Mau P and Cloonee, UK garage sensation Sammy Virji, and deep house maven BLOND:ISH. From hearing all the hits live to discovering new music and everything in between, the lineup this year is just too good.
Kygo’s unique sets expand beyond just electronic instruments. Last year featured a drumline, an orchestra, and vocalists, while he beautifully played the piano. He is a man of many talents.
The Location
Rio Grande Park is just steps away from downtown Aspen. Wrap up your ski day, grab a bite or go shopping in town, then head to the festival where you can watch the sun set behind the mountains and feel the temperature gradually drop as the beats heat up.
Start the party early by catching a pre-party with Cloonee at Après Ski Club (Viewline Resort – Snowmass, CO) or a free show from Jackie Hollander or Slenderbodies performing atop Aspen Mountain at Eleven 212.
For the night owls, Belly Up Aspen is hosting official PTMF after parties with Kygo, Cloonee, BLOND:ISH, and MauP throughout the weekend. The W hotel will also host afterparties (free admission until reach capacity) featuring two floors and four DJs Friday and Saturday nights until 2AM.
The Experience
Palm Tree Music Festival is truly an immersive luxury experience. Last year, premium sponsors created activations that brought the Palm Tree vibe to life: amazing cocktails, curated culinary experiences, and brand collaborations that felt authentic to both the festival’s tropical ethos and Aspen’s refined mountain culture. You may even bump into an influencer at PTMF! Last year attracted Alix Earle, Braxton Berrios, Helen Owen, Dixie D’Amelio, and Jake Shane.
If you want to elevate your experience, the newly expanded VIP double-decker lounge offers heated comfort with premium stage views, perfect for when the mountain air gets crisp. For the ultimate indulgence, Palm Club returns with covered, heated tables featuring dedicated VIP hosts, top-tier bottle service, and signature bites curated by the legendary Chef Nobu Matsuhisa. This is après-ski luxury taken to its peak.
And here’s where it gets even better: festival-goers can add ski pass packages to their tickets, redeemable at all four mountains at Aspen Snowmass. Start your day with fresh tracks on Aspen Highlands, grab lunch on Ajax, and roll straight into the festival grounds as the sun dips behind the peaks. It’s the perfect marriage of mountain adventure and electronic music euphoria.
“Aspen has become a cornerstone of the Palm Tree Music Festival story—the welcoming community and the incredible energy of the fans and artists make it truly special. We’re thrilled to return for our fourth year and have a lot in store to take this experience to new heights for another unforgettable celebration.”” – Palm Tree Crew co-founder Myles Shear.
Tickets are available now through the festival’s official site, but are selling fast. Aspen is calling! See you on the slopes!
